Upgrade Your Toast with Pear and Feta Breakfast Crostini

Ingredients

  • 1 large, ripe pear (I like to use red pears)
  • 4 slices of good-quality bread of your choice, each 1-inch thick
  • 8 ounces feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Quarter the pear lengthwise and remove the stem, core, and seeds. Cut the quarters into thin slices and set aside.
  2. Toast the bread slices and, once toasted, divide the feta into four portions. Crumble one portion onto each slice of toast, and arrange the pear slices in an overlapping fan-like pattern on top.
  3. Drizzle each slice with ½ tablespoon honey, season with freshly ground black pepper, and serve.
